Finnian Mullen

Meet Finny Mullen: he’s a raw, playful photographer whose works bring the eccentric characteristics of his subjects to life. His photography primarily explores youth culture and sexuality, so it’s no wonder that the place that inspires him is Brisbane – full of colours, characters and moments to capture. Finny’s prowess in street photography has established him as a trailblazer in his field, with his work landing spots in a range of exhibitions across Queensland.

His unique collaborations with models – particularly creatives – allows him to capture quirks in his subjects that other photographers might not – often in his signature monochrome black and white style. Not only is he a remarkable exemplar of raw talent, but he’s now expanding his skillset at QCA and exploring other art mediums. His spontaneity, combined with the development of his distinct and quirky style solidifies him as one of the Twelve to Watch.
